There isn't going to be a draft. Throwing bodies at the problem only creates the need for more body bags. Our military is the finest group of professionals on the planet. A draft will only serve to water it down and kill morale.

I honestly wish that folks would stop making this comparison. It simply isn't valid.

As a former US Marine with a son on the invading force of both Afghanistan and Iraq, I agree with what we are doing and take offense to folks who like to conjur images of Vietnam as a means of invoking fear and pessimism.

However, I do disagree with trying to fight a "politically correct" war with those who clearly value life and liberty differently than we do. I do not understand why a man carrying an RPG down the street isn't simply shot on sight. I don't think he's going shopping.

If our government wants to make a positive change in Iraq, here's the best thing they can do:

Expel ALL foreign journalists from Iraq and declare ANY media that broadcasts a terrorist message of any kind to be a terrorist network and shut it down.

In my opinion, the largest terror network in existence today is the modern media and it's time to clean house.
