I have used the microwave trick on a few myself and it works fine. But, you do have to be careful. I'd practice on some chips I didn't care about first, as I suspect the time needed will vary from machine to machine. Before I got it right on mine, I "bubbled" a few and actually scorched one.
And WARNING == they are VERY HOT when they come out of the microwave, so be careful (I think clay must really hold heat). ----- jim o\-S
