... and have been confirmed by a couple of people here on the board as being from a reputable seller, and likely from the actual filming. You can distinguish these chips from the regular Paulson Casino De Isthmus City chips by the red inlay, the edge spots, and the denominations (using a $10 and $50 chip, rather than the customary $5 and $25).
You can see this particular $500 chip (or ones just like it) both in the opening credits sequence, and at the Blackjack table in the scene where Bond is playing against Lupe' (there are $5,000 and $10,000 plaques in the chip tray of the table, with a row of these $500 off to the side, you can see about half of them in the 'widescreen' version of the film).
Now the question of whether or not such a chip would be worth 977 euros is a valid one. This is in fact, the same site that sells vials of the sand from the 'Dr. No Beach' for something like $100. And my (fairly exhaustive) research on the internet only showed one similar chip sale, at the Christie's auction a couple of years ago, a $10 chip like the one on the site that sold for something like 150 British pounds. So whereas it might definitely be argued that the price is inflated, I don't think there are as many grounds to question authenticity (not that you couldn't legitimately do so in any case). And I'm not about to pony up the dough that they want for them, although I have been tempted with the $10,000 plaque.
Of course, all of the foregoing remains my opinion, and I am interested in a price quote on that bridge, if you get some time .
