Not sure of the dates, late 80's-early 90's, at the FQ's, I made beds, shrimp cocktails, tended bar, etc, etc for several weeks, while the hiring of replacements was in process. All executives including the GM was drafted to help. No additional pay.
The replacements de-certified the unions.
