There have been some problems lately. I'm still using Prodigy.net (commonly known as PI to the old folks <G>) It's very fast, seldom slows, except right around 5pm Central time, for some reason. BUT...

The server for Gregs BB might be getting overloaded. Sometimes I get server unavailable errors, sometimes it just sits and times out. Posting a message can get an error as well.

If there is a net terrorist pinging the site, not even this BB it can srcew up the whole server. It's not you, and it's not Greg, it's something up the line with the file server. I can't understand the vanishing messages or the pre-dating of messages 15 hours or a day?

I'm using Netscape on a 55.6 flex v.all (or something?) modem. If you dial-up line only runs at 28.8 or 33.6, you can have the fasttest modem and computer on Earth and it's only going to be as good as you ISP. Even my Pentium 60 is faster than many internet sites and all the slow modems.
