I am using Netscape 7.1 on a PC running Windows 2000. The following problem only happens while I am at TheChipBoard and not when I visit the SlotBoard, the SilverStrikeBoard and the Club's BBS!
Every time I click on a Message, the message is posted, but a dialog box opens on top of the message. The dialog box (entitled: Select User) wants me to click on one of five (5) listed Users. Without selecting one, my options are "OK" or "CANCEL". I cannot close the dialog box by clicking the "X" (close) box, nor can I ignore the box. I must select a response!
To confuse matters more, the list of Users (five names) are all the same! My name listed five times!!!
The dialog box tells me that I need to select a name for insertion into a form, which is, I suspect, the form at the bottom of each page.
I have been everywhere in the Preferences to turn this off, but to no avail. I have thoroughly deleted every bit of data in the Forms Manager screens and un-checked every optional box!!!
This is a real nuisance to click this box everytime I read a message. However, if I revisit a message, the box does not show up.
Any suggestions?
Jim
