I agree John, BUT there are deck situations where the Mathimatical odds favor the players. If you do not believe this..... I will fly to Florida, have you deal to me and will play a minimum of $25 per hand. The only requirement is that you will use 2 decks of cards, and remove 16 lower denomination cards (3,4,5, or 6's. This would give me a nice positive count. What I am saying is that situations like this arise occasionally (and somewhat less positive counts quite frequently) in a double deck games. The idea is to bet much more when these math odds are in your favor, and minimum bets (or sit out the hand, if you can get away with it!)when the count is even or even more in the houses favor.
This challenge goes for anyone else also. I will fly to your location at my expense, with $5,000 (My dad would gladly bankroll this venture) and you put up the same $5,000. It is possible for the player to play hands of blackjack with a math advantage. These are the hands you play for much more money. Your play more hands with the advantage with the Casino, maybe 8-Casino 2-Player, but you play 10 to 20 times more money when the hands are in your favor.
This is why it is impossible to beat the games long term in areas where there is a fixed bet. Like in Colorado, with a $5 minimum and a $5 Maximum. You cannot bet enough when the odds are in your favor to make up for the majority of the time when the odds are with the casino. I have a friend that is live games manager in a casino in Deadwood. He knows I am a counter, and tells me to "Go ahead and count, there is nothing you can do when the count is in your favor". He also said that the position was very different in the Casino he worked at in Las Vegas without the $5 maximum rule.
So let me know when I can come down, and lets play a little BJ, my rules!
