Sorry, I am sure I have seen questions like this before on this message board, but not sure what this means. I trust the folks on this board so here is where I come with my question.

Got an email from ebay tonight. The ebay safe harbour dept. Says someone has used my identity to make fraudulent purchases on ebay. They want to verify my account info. I have 72 hours to respond with the information they need. They want me to verify personal info regarding my ebay account. They say my account with ebay will be terminated if I do not respond within this 72 hour period.

I feel this is a scam, just want your verification and thoughts.

Sorry to bother you with this if it is something that has already been explained. I should have paid more attention to those other posts.
