The Peppermill here in Reno is another great offender in this area. I too find it "misleading." They are saying, "there are 500 of these, and this is 1 of them." (As Kelly would say, "duh!") I much prefer the "LE 500" or "Ltd. 500" type of nomenclature if they aren't going to serialize them. The real tipoff is whether the "chip number" looks exactly like the rest of the image, i.e. printed as part of the total image, or added later, either printed in a box or engraved or whatever. No way they are going to create 500 or 1000 screens to serialize the chips.
