Dropped into T.R.King today and picked up sets of "antique" style chips for those that asked. Hadn't been there in 8-10 years. The neighborhood, in the southern shadow of downtown Los Angeles, hasn't improved over the years <g> but OK to visit during daylight hours. Hasn't changed much inside in all these years. I took a few pictures of the building, for chip historical purposes, in case a "Chip Molds & Makers" book gets off the ground someday. Will post pics when I snap the rest of the roll; I'm still using old-fashioned film in my camera!
Here's image of 2 manufacturer's chips. On the left is a 1950's or 60's promotional chip when TR King was still selling in Nevada. (I had to purchase this one at a "vintage" price, i.e. kinda expensive, but I really like it.) On the right is a more recent "No Value" TR King promo chip.
