That's correct, Allan, and the fact is well
documented in Michael's column: The Information
Booth.
As far as I know these pieces have not yet been
attributed to any casino in France, and we're able
to trace the material from Elysée-Palace, Vichy,
back to 1898.
Records indicate that this type of filigreed overlay
inlay was manufactured from 1925 to 1930; typical
of the Monaco material of that period.
The pieces are very nice, and perhaps one day we'll
know where they're really from.
