My wife and I always stay at the Nugget. I have stayed at many places on the strip (not the high-end ones) and as far as I am concerned, the Nugget is the nicest. It's by far the best downtown. Rooms are good size, very clean, and there is no room noise (except for the TV when you're licking your wounds). You're also very close to 4 or 5 other casinos.
