Scott excellent post with many valid points.
I need to clarify that I do show a low rarity rating on this $5 yellow Horseshoe chip. I did know of the hoard & I report this, I quote "A truckload of these pieces have appeared on the market in 1999, decimating their previous valuation. However, 99% of the available examples are quite worn and a top example is hard to come by.
My value is $10 in well used condition & actually the same as CR with the $10 to $14 I believe I read someone says CR is. My value of $100 for a top price, reflecting a high grade of 95 out of 100 still stands as the value, at least. Find a mint one! I will pay $100.
Just wanted to clarify and make a point on my value that is not way off as many think and outdated, etc. I feel I am still rather accurate on most chips.
