The question I'm trying to resolve in my mind is if it weren't for the issue of grading, would any of us care about slabbing or not?
I think we would just view it as another method of storage.
It is for that reason that I posed the question that if an item were sold that was encapsulated without a grade, would it fall within the paramaters we set to call an item slabbed.
I think one would assume that an item being sold and marked authentic would be a given or perhaps at best a marketing tool. I would not say that IT sets the criteria for something to be called "slabbed" under our definition.
