I think by the very nature of the auction description, which reads in part "They have been authenticated by NGC and come encapsulated in an NGC multi-holder", it is a slab. The only grade they could give is "authenticated" because there are three chips, not just one, and I know of no other meaning of the word "encapsulate" where a grading company is involved. It is a slab!
