I don't follow your point

I am sure that most, if not all chip collectors enjoy getting bargains. That seems completely beside the point. If an e-bay seller sells his chips at an inflated price that is fine with me as well. But, if he misleads people into thinking chips are worth more than they are, that seems unethical to me without question. If the buyer pulls out an old price guide at a garage sale, knowing of newer price guides showing a far greater value, and convinces someone to sell him the chip at a price significantly below its value on the basis of that price guide, that too seems dishonest and unethical. Do you disagree?
