The costs are even higher for seller when you factor in Paypal charges encurred in order to accept credit card payments:

Since my account is a "Premier/Business Account", I am charged 2.9% plus $.30 for each transaction!

So if accept a payment for $10.00 via paypal, I am charge approx $.60 for that transaction. When you combine that cost with .72 ebay fees, it would cost $1.32 just to sell a chip via ebay and accept paypal payment...
