Greetings from New England:
I collect encased coins from casinos. Remember these? Usually a penny (sometimes nickels, dimes, quarters, & in rare cases silver dollars) surrounded by a round or horseshoe shaped aluminum "collar". The collar is stamped with the casino's name & sometimes the casino's logo. Also stamped on the aluminum collar is a phrase such as "Keep me and never go broke", "I bring good luck", etc. Encased coins were a good luck piece, advertising piece, or keychain. They were often sold in the casino's gift shop. I will buy them, or even (GASP!) trade chips for them. Please contact me if you have any for sale or trade. Thanks! Dave jdsmith007@juno.com
