Hi Jim,

As a civilized society, we must have programs in place that function as a safety net for people who find themselves in desperate times. What has happened over the last 60 years is, programs that were meant to be safety nets have been turned into hammocks by liberal democrats. The introduction of some programs and continuing expansion of many of these programs has created an entire class of dependent people. Way too many of these people work the system to the max rather than find gainful employment. They also vote for those who enable the system by promising more free stuff in every election campaign, the vast majority of those candidates being democrats.

I work damn hard for my money, and I'd like to keep as much of it as I can. The democratic party wants more of my money to give to too many people unwilling to earn their own money. It really is just that simple on the economic side of political ideology.
