I too am 58 and some of my memories differ from Grandma's

Charles Starkweather was killing about a dozen people on rampage through Nebraska & Colorado.
President Eisenhower had to send troops into Little Rock to help little girls go to school.
Johnson lied to the Nation and got almost 60,000 of my generation killed to prevent Vietnamese communists from taking over the world.
I could go on but looking fondly on "the good old days" is myopic at best.
