the best of health. We are going to have some pizza and I am going to bed. Probably will puke that up. After the food poisining, I inherited this crud that Lynn has had. I hardly ever get sick so it has been a humbling experience.
Then my good friend, Evan, had to go and give up the ghost last night. It has not been a great weekend. The guy was the best card player I have ever met. Any game, he would eat your lunch. Lucky too...You can beat skill, but you can't beat luck.
When I first met him we played cribbage, still one of my favorite games. I have won many cribbage tournaments. Played in one and it came down to Evan and I. I have never had a 29 hand in cribbage. Evan had 2 that day when we played for the finals. How do you beat luck like that???
Played alot of partners 4 point pitch, what a partner to have. He always had the other two points...If I bid three he would moon it. I would cringe and lots of times he would throw the Jack out on the first lead and just laugh.
Play poker with Evan, GREASE UP, and get ready...I always told him that he needed to go to Nevada and play. He always said he was just happy where he was at. Always a big smile and not a mean thought in his head.
It's hard to loose something like that. Evan was my friend and my hero....Very sad to see him pass. He died peacefully and for that he was a lucky man. Rest in peace my good friend.
Now if I can just Campiglia to answer the phone....
