Some unscrupulous individuals would contact the seller direct and cut Will out. The consignor does not usually send the goods to Will unless they are 'sold' so he could be approached to sell privately and 'split' Will's commission with the buyer. All he then does is tells Will 'Ive changed my mind - not selling that one' and Will is none the wiser.
