This version was used in 1990, in at least two places. In July 1990 I wrote to chip distributors to get their catalogs and samples. Pictured below are July 1990 chips from The Poker Store, Stanton CA; and The Gambler (Borland), Las Vegas NV. (Note: on all the mermaid chips that I am aware of, including the new-found ones, those small round plastic injection holes are on only one side of the chip.)
