I looked and the red one is from samples I got from Chipco in about 1990 (I'm pretty sure?), however the one on the right came from a batch of chips used in the movie Heldorado, filmed last year, and there are both styles in that group of six.

Someone with some old chips is going to have to settle this.

The one with the outlined Mermaid is red, the one with rings is plain old yellow. I also have purple and pink that came new last year with the outlined mermaid.
