Does anyone else collect these? They're certainly not as pretty as the commemorative series, but there seems to be quite a bit of intrigue surrounding them... so much so that the authors of The Chip Rack now devote an entire page to "note 003".

I've managed to find 31 of 'em, and I haven't been through TCR to count the "note 003" annotations. I believe that they are much harder to find than the commemoratives, but they are all still listed as "A" values in TCR.

If anyone has any additional insight into any or all of these chips, I'd love to read about 'em. There's been some discussion here about one or two of these chips (the $1 Flamingo Capris spring to mind), and I've talked to Doug Saito about them as well. There seem to be several different versions of how these chips came to be.
