For me, if I have two chips of the same release in front of me and I can only have one, and both are in the same physical condition, the next thing I look for is inlay alignment with inserts and will pick the better of the two (for symetry). Front to back alignment is not all that much of an issue, UNLESS, I wanted to be able to display both fronts and backs. Then some sort of front to back alignment can be important to select one over the other.
HOWEVER, these are personal selection critera and have no real affect on the price I might pay. Therefore, "value" in my mind, does not change.
