The first is where a person repeatedly seeks medical attention for severe illness, though no evidence of any illness is ever found.
The second is where (generally) a parent inflicts repeated injury on a child so that the child can be taken to the hospital for treatment.
Both are designed to gain attention for the person suffering from the disorder.
That's my layman's understanding of the two. I don't think either could be said to apply in this situation.
