I have read the prolog and Argument #1 several times. You won because the tax man couldn't proove your "intention" to resell these items at the time you bought them. Anyone who reads your words can draw their own conclusions, just as I did.
The actions of the taxman (while a bit extreme) were as a result of your action, so don't try to use them as a justification for your actions.
I am sure you continue to believe that what was done, because it was "legal", was somehow therefore "ethical". I have my opinion, you have yours. As "the other Jim P" would say, "Stick a fork in me, I'm done."
