I think it was "The Godfather" where right before they would kill you they would say "It ain't personal, it's only business".
When you place yourself in a fiduciary capacity, you must accept that there will be those who will question (sometimes harshly) your judgement, your actions and your motives. If your constitution is such that you can't accept that, you should find something else to do.
