I wish to remind you that what Joe put forth was the following question (in paraphrase) "Is the building fund really needed?" This was followed by a comment of something he said that he heard at the convention.

The comment that followed (regardless of its character or structure) did not make his question less relevant.

The leadership of this club can remain obtuse about this if they so desire but I don't think it serves them well.
