Attention C/J (shiny) H/C people...

While in Vegas for the Show, I found these at an antique mall. I asked around the Show for opinions as to what they may have been used for, but wanted a wider audience.

Both of these chips are shiny hat and canes (Christy/Jones). They are hot-stamp denominated on both sides (same denomination) and appear almost new. (This is not to suggest that they have been in-play somewhere, after all they are generic, but the edges are not as sharp as they would be if they were new. Perhaps they have dulled over the years banging around in the baggie they were in.

Some of the opinions from the Show were that they might have been samples, or possibly markers. When I suggested part of a home game set, everyone said no because they had not seen chips like this before (i.e., shiny hat and canes, denominations only, front and back).

Are there more opinions?

Thank you for looking,

Jim Follis
