First, I would like to stay away from the "scam" element as it detracts from the pertinent discussion.

A couple things.

The latest news talks about a table at the 2003 convention and under status it gives fund balance at April, 2003. Hmmmmm..

I read the history and it was very interesting but you say that it is "needed" (my emphasis) and the question posed was "is it needed?"

It's clear that the building is wanted for a variety of reasons (and some are very noble and good) but I don't see where the mission statement describes the club "need" that is satisfied by this project.

This isn't a game of semantics. Wants and needs are very different things.

I'm not trying to be a fly in the ointment and I am certainly not against the project. My point was (and is) that the question was valid and it remains valid until everyone can answer it.
