Had a great time. Arrived Thursday at noon by myself (wife, Mary Jane is expecting and has to save her sick time for December). Drove straight to the Riviera and picked up my pre-registration pack from Dennis Garnier who told me that he grew up in my hometown. New friend #1. Strolled the floor for an hour or so. It was so busy I didn't really get to talk to anyone. Checked in to my fully-comped suite at the Rio. Went to check out the tables there and $15 minimum Blackjack was the cheapest! Gambled for a few hours (shouldn't have), had dinner at their seafood buffet ($40 but outstanding) and retired for the evening. Friday I returned to the Riv and got to talk with a few eBay and chipboard friends. I recouped a small percentage of my massive Rio losses at the downtown casinos, Had dinner at the Aladdin's seafood buffet (great, but Rio was better), shot craps for 4 hours at Mandalay Bay winning a few hundred and then to Westward Ho for my annual 3/4 pound hotdog! Saturday I attended the Ebay Seminar at the Riv and made my way through the dealers again. This time I got to talk to James C. and girlfriend Tammy, Mark L. Steve B. and Linda Z. I searched for my Kansas City buddies who were going to go with me on a road trip, but never did run into them. I then left on my trip to Mesquite all by myself. I visited and photographed about 25 casinos in Mesquite, Henderson and North Las Vegas. Won money at Casablanca and Casino Montelago playing blackjack. Made a final stop at the Western downtown. Was worried that my rental car would be gone when I came out, but it was still there! Returned to the Rio and had a big steak delivered to my room. Sunday, I checked out and hit Monte Carlo, NY NY, Excalibur and Luxor. Got four aces on a video poker machine at Excalibur for $500 and headed to the airport. Got there too early and dropped $300 on VP. Can't wait until next year!
