Please be assured that I am the last one to want to interject a negative on this subject, as I also have had similiar experiences with relatively large purchases. E.g. Greg, Bob Gabel, etal. not to mention a few more.

BUT, why is it that you think it's such a great thing to receive your merchandise prior to the seller receiving your check? Aren't you affording the seller the same trust when you send him a check for such a large amount without first receiving the goods?

You are taking the exact gamble as the seller is. It just so happens, that within our small group of acquaintences (which over a period of time can turn into real friendships,) it is a rare occurance when someone is purposely cheated or defrauded in any way.

It's a great feeling, isn't it Rich, to have trust in your fellow chippers? To bad the rest of the world doesn't act the same way.
