Re: PUBLIC OPINION DOES COUNT

Mark,
It is a joy to see people give and take.
I think the main reason you need Casino in your description is to get people to look at your items. One of the most important things for people to learn in using eBAY is how do I get someone to look at my auction.

With over 2.5 million items a week, your key words are the best way.
With such a short room as the description field is, every word is critical. A technic I find helpful is to list all the words and then put a "?" at the end. James Bond Chips, Casino, Poker, Illegals? This way you grab several groups of lookers.
Even when my item is not an original, I will put; "1978 Bar Glass not Derby".

The key in descriptions is to get as many words in as possible so you get a hit on someones search. Words like "L@@K, Beautiful" do nothing. My favorite blunder I see used is when people say, "The Picture says it all". I do not know of anyone going to search and hit this item.

I was thinking about a 1.00 item selling for $10.00. I think it is the percentages that hit our hot buttons. The dollar amounts at this level do not mean much as people have said and let them sell it for what they want. I have friend who bought a Terri Doll Saturday for $20.00 at a yard sale. He has it on eBay and started it at $9.99 no reserve. You will not believe what it is up to already. A couple of finds like this a year can do some serious good.
