"Did someone say McDonald's?" <g>
The Loxahatchee Post Office is so "rural" (I use it
for speed.... otherwise I'm up against the same
thing in town) that it's not unusual for
boxes of frogs and crickets being received several
times per week. The next P.O. is about 50-miles
west in the middle of nowhere.
In Switzerland the mail is picked up and delivered
as many as 3-times per day on what's known as
"postal buses" that carry passengers for a small
charge where tourists can travel to towns in the
Alps that are off the beaten path. In fact, if one
were to board in Brig, going south, they would avoid
the 12-mile tunnel passage into Italy while crossing
over the Simplon Pass. You can even get off anyehere
along the way to have lunch and get back on a
returning bus. The snow is 2-ft. deep in mid-May.
Beautiful!
