Well, here is Ryanne is after having the permanent cast put on this morning... BOY, have things changed! NO LONGER do they use the old funky white plaster of Paris cast... NOOO it's a designer thing now Pick you favorite color, and no longer do you have to keep it dry, ITS FIBERGLASS! Yep, doc said she could SWIM in it! Pool water only because it's chlorinated (Can't do beach or swim at our creek house). The cast is porous and the water drains out the end and through the sides, the padding is a non-absorbent material that dries in about an hour. What will they think of next? She's delighted.... She only swam 3 times prior to breaking it.
