Can anyone tell me about an event in LV, circa 1970 called "Hot Wheels"?

I picked up a silver-colored metal pin with those words, the year(1970) and "Las Vegas" on it. Also, the emblem had a horseshoe with a wheel with wings in the center of it.

Any ideas?
