I am surprised that in posts below in this BB respected members "see nothing wrong" with Paulson fantasy chips advertised on eBay with auction titles and descriptions heralding them as CASINO chips.
I strongly object to both of these auctions:
(1) CASINO Comm CHIPS $28751.00 Dutch READ
Item #154315395
http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?MfcISAPICommand=ViewItem&item=154315395+
(2) ~Western Rodeo Casino Chips $500/$1000 NR~
Item #154452954
http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?MfcISAPICommand=ViewItem&item=154452954
A lot of side issues about these auctions can obscure what to me is the main point.
The SIDE ISSUES envolve the low opening bid, the fact that some of the chips (Rodeo ones, for example) don't say "casino" on them, that the descriptions may not name particular casinos or call them casino chips, that there may be no description at all (just the picture of the offending "casino" chip), that the ad says they are "non-redeemable," etc.
The MAIN ISSUE to me is that it is wrong to auction these fantasy poker chips if the word "CASINO' appears anywhere in the ad -- in the title, in the descriptuion and/or on the pictured chip. (An obvious exception is if the description identifies these as fantasy casino chips and says they never appeared or were issued by a casino.)
