I watched a "whale" play craps at Caesars Palace in Nevada last year. I don't know what he started with but he left the table, accompanied by security, with at least 3 stacks of $25,000 oversized chips.

As I recall, he was betting $5,000 on the line (with maximum behind) as well as $5,000/$6,000 on various numbers.
