I think that's probably true in London where you have a large foreign tourist trade. However, my local, the Westcliff is always busy, mainly due to it's predominantly retired clientel - not me though, I just wish I was retired It's probably one of the reasons that the Westcliff has stayed profitable and managed to expand into the Waterfront / Speilers casino next door while also resisting takeover from the casino groups (no idea if they've ever tried, just my speculation that they probably have - especially Stanley who have taken over so many of the previously independant casinos).
