In order for a chip or token to be a "commemorative" does not mean it has to be issued by a casino. The Borlan dated pieces are listed on the club page as being commemoratives. These chips (though I do not like them) are simply commemorating the opening and closing of a casino. Whenever I'm approached as to what these chips are, I simply refer the person to the club site. The problem I have with these chips is when they are called "casino chips" but we really can't expect non-collectors to realize that unless a chip is actually issued by a casino it should not be called a casino chip -- but may be called a "casino-like" chip.
