20 years at "the Shack"...I remember all the great promotions...battery club, free flashlights...and the rest. I remember when IBM Compatible wasn't an issue and a good printer weighed over 50lbs and sounded like a jackhammer.

CD was just showing up and 8-track was finally, thankfully on the way out, except for the die-hards. Ah, the good old days!

Did you know? RadioShack, actually Tandy Corp at that time, held a patent for recordable CD in 1985? Yepper, we had the electronics world by the short-ones but couldn't deliver an entry level consumer recorder for under $500, which was the goal. Pretty aggressive "way back then".
