Fay, what do you mean “Anyway great to here some negative comments it’s all I expected to here from most people.”
Let’s get some facts straight here:
1. Because a chip has a serial number of #1 does not make the chip rare or valuable. Based on your logic, then serial number #2 would be rare since it’s #2 (and worth $1000’s of dollars). Would that mean that chip #1111 would be worth 1000’s of dollars also (since that type of bill for currency collectors would be of more value)?
2. You ask what we thought the value of the chip was. You got many answers from many people who in my option are knowledgeable in the field. We made an educated guess that since Crystal Park sold all of the chips to the secondary market the value of the chip would NOT hold its face value. Once again, unless you stick the chip on Ebay or sell it to another collector the value of the chip is $0 (it’s only worth what someone is willing to pay for it and the chip can’t be redeemed for cash at the casino).
Fay, I would really love to see your chip sell for $10,000+! Nothing makes me happier that someone finding that great bargain and makes a fortune on their find.
All we are trying to tell you is your expectations might be a little high.
Good Luck and I hope you prove us all wrong!
