If all you have posted is true, then this certainly is a violation of club ethics on the part of the seller. Item three of our code of ethics clearly states that all transactions between club members be conducted with "fairness" and not getting whatever the market will bear, as with an auction. You do have recourse, you could submit your case to the board for resolution. I trust next time you spend that amount of money, you will check more than one source.
