Let me see if I understand you.

Example: You put up a "C" rated $1 orange Sands chip. The high bidder is at $10. That same high bidder emails you and offers $150 (I think $200 was actually paid for this chip a year or two ago so $150 is a plausible offer).

Are you telling me that you would not take the legitimate option offered by ebay and stop the auction early and sell to the high bidder (not at the current $10 bid but at the $200 offered price).

If you say no, then let me add this: you are selling the chip for the widow of your best friend. Obviously you want to realize the most for his widow.
