You got it right on the money Mark & I'm sure you knew as well Greg. This is one of the most amazing photos I've seen. This pic was in our local paper on Monday. The article stated: "When the weather conditions and air speeds are just right, a dense cloud forms like a smoke ring at the tail of a jet fighter. It quickly travels forward to the nose, and when the plane breaks the sound barrier, it's gone, blown apart the instant the aircraft goes supersonic. Only a select few, men and women who fly in planes capable of such speeds, had ever seen the effect -- until recently, when Oceana-based (in Virginia Beach) Ensign John Gay, aboard the carrier Constellation in the Pacific, snapped a picture of an F/A-18 Hornet barreling through the cloud it had created." .............This is really cool stuff!!
