Sonny - Im not saying they are going to come and arrest him. I lost a Sergeants badge once while at a school function and somewhere, someone still has that badge. There is no name or badge number on our Sergeants badges (back then,) just the name of the township, but If an officer did lost his Det. shield or regular badge for that matter, I know he would want it back. It could have been part of an estate sale, but I dont know of any family member who would sell or give away a relative's police badge - just my opinion. I know if it was me, I would certainly give the person a reward for returning it.
