I have had several back and forths with the seller of the fake Redwoods. He threatened me with calling Paul-Son. He said they would back a customer rather than a chip collector. He then told me he had called Mike DeTommaso GM of Paul-Son and I should check with him about the chips.
Mike answered the phone with "I guess you are calling about the Redwoods" instead of Hi Gene, good to hear from you, as he usually does.
He then wanted to know what this guy was up to. After I told him, his reply was: Jesus, not another one. I promise I will take care of him, if you promise to keep the chip collectors off my back. He had all he wanted from us over "The Cuban Crises"
I sent Mike links to the auctions. The Redwoods were not made for a casino and were never intended for the use Tom is using them for.
I will have lunch with Mike and see if we can come up with a plan of attack for future fakes. Paul-Son is willing to listen.
BTW, in my opinion Paul-Son did not do anything wrong in making these chips. With no city/state and a cheap inlay, most of us would question the chip.
BTW 2, Mike is a regular kind of guy. He understands our value to Paul-Son.
The guy ordered 600 $1, 300 $5, and 100 $25. Total 1000 ordered from the LV retail store.
Here is my final email to Tom. I have gone as far as I can. Someone should complain to ebay.
I just spoke to Mike D. He was expecting my call. I was trying not to bother him with this, but you insisted.
You are right, you ordered 1000 chips.
That is the only thing you are right about. I sent him links to your auctions.
He promised me he would expose your fraud, if I promised to keep the chip collectors off his back.
Later
Gene
