I, too, receive similar mail to buy a chip, but it's
usually before
the end of the auction; on high-end material, and
when the buyer rather not have others know at what
level he is buying at. The chip you see below was
listed on eBay last week with a $650 minimum bid and
the reserve was $1200. It only received one bid which could have been anywhere between the minimum (posted) and the $1200 reserve. I received a call a
before the close to reserve the chip if action
did not increase. The chip now belongs to that
person. Under eBay's new policy, I would have been right in the ballpark.
I'm glad to see your computer is working so much
better within just a few minutes of your previous
